Boxy is back! Showman’s mascot has taken a tour around the world, and upon his return, he came bearing the gifts of his travels in the form of new meal kits. While Boxy may have had the time of his life getting into mischief in Thailand, partying in California and sauntering through just about every country in between, his Showman bredren thought it would only be fitting to have his return be Bahamian themed.
When the Showman e-Bistro first launched in 2020, they aimed to provide dinners with a diverse range of quality ingredients that spanned the globe, all at an affordable price. Each meal kit provided a family of four-five with a week’s worth of ingredients to create flavour packed feasts. And, while the meal kits took a short hiatus, they have returned with a box of classic recipes, fusion dishes, and new twists on tried and true favourites that maintain Showman’s commitment to quality and value.
Chef Dorsette and his culinary team have spent years learning the creative and practical elements of cooking and culinary artistry. And, they use their collaborative knowledge to craft the general themes and ideas for each box. Chef Ravell Rollins then takes over to carefully curate the dishes and featured recipes. October’s Bahamian inspired meal kit included classics like Conch n Grits and Conch Fritters, plus revamped favorites like Calypso Tempura Conch with Pineapple Fried Rice and Grilled Coconut & Tamarind Glazed Chicken. The November and December kits will be announced very soon, and will be holiday themed, complete with new twists on seasonal staples.
