Since the Showman eBistro Restaurant opened in May 2021, the culinary team has been dedicated to providing flavour packed and internationally inspired cuisine that is varied, delicious, and can cater to a wide range of palettes and dietary needs.
While a number of local menus feature one or two vegetarian or vegan friendly options, The Restaurant launched with many meatless meals. Options ranged from crispy Buffalo Cauliflower Bites with a horseradish crème, Roasted Carrot Hummus, a Spinach Dip and Native Sweet Potato Chips as starters, to options like their Spiced Cauliflower Rice Bowl which included spiced roasted cauliflower, coconut scented rice, golden raisins, toasted walnuts, pickled tomato, and avocado fries and their Berry Orange Spinach Salad w/ Herbed Balsamic Vinaigrette. (…Not to mention a wide selection of vegetarian friendly side dishes like Lebanese Spicy Potatoes, Sriracha & Lime Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Corn Ribs, Jollof Rice, Tempura Vegetable, and more.)
While The Restaurant’s menu was already an ideal spot for vegans, vegetarians, pescatarians, flexitarians, and carnivorous diners alike, it recently introduced even more meatless options that can be enjoyed anytime.
New options include:
A Loaded Vegan Mac and Cheese that may hold that dairy, not NOT the flavour.
Vegetable Nachos that start with crispy corn chips topped with adobo vegetables, shredded cheese, avocado, scallions, sour cream, and fresh cilantro.
Hearty Vegan Greek Meatballs served with a cashew tzatziki, and warm, soft pita bread
Vegan Eggplant Casserole that includes braised fresh eggplant, a tomato ragu, and a rich vegan cheese sauce.
A filling Mexican Vegan Wrap that encapsulates all of the spices that the country is known for.
Meatless meal lovers can also enjoy three new vegetarian flatbreads that include a Caprese Flatbread, a Four Cheese, and a Mushroom Flatbread.
Stop in today to try some (or all – we don’t judge) of The Restaurant’s vegetarian friendly options. The team would also be happy to prepare dishes like their Crispy Kale Salad w/ Pomegranate Apple Vinaigrette and Peaches Kissed By Fire without bacon and prosciutto, respectively.
DID YOU KNOW: The Restaurant often showcases vegetarian and vegan dishes during their weekly “Spice Queens” Lunch Specials. Past dishes have included Pasta Pomodoro with Garlic Breadsticks and Chickpea & Cauliflower Coconut Curry. The Showman eBistro Restaurant also featured several vegan guest cooks during their “Chef’s Series”. Princess Pratt, Kathetine Coakley and Ras Kowhen Cecil all had meatless featured nights.
