“This is date night, Mr. Big, Sex in The City energy.” – Drew on the new Showman eBistro Restaurant
Psssst. Showman’s got a new project coming up. An exciting one. A restaurant, to be specific – “The Restaurant” as it is known for the time being.
And, if you’ve been following the Showman eBistro social media pages, you probably already have your mouth fix to try some (or all) of the exciting new dishes, thanks to the ongoing Mukbang sessions that have been airing on Showman’s IG Live.
Mukbangs originated in South Korea and are usually messy affairs that include eating an ungodly amount of food on camera…. But, the Showman version is decidedly more refined. While the delicious and mouthwatering food still flows with vigor, there is silverware, plates and napkins involved. And, instead of ASMR smacking, there are vibes, complete with good music, laughs, and a genuine good time over a robust meal.
With copious amounts of delicious Showman crafted dishes as the centerpiece, Jus Mo and Drew got a ‘lil unfiltered and a tad reckless, Patrice Murrell, Gary Wong, and Paige McCartney vibed out with some good music courtesy of DJ Fines and Jerome Sawyer and Kristina Love shared some good conversation.
The complete restaurant menu is going to be unveiled soon, but the Mukbang sessions will continue to tease what the Showman team of chefs have been up to for the past few months.
Some of the highlights of the Mukbang sessions included a Crispy Kale Salad with an Apple Pomegranate Vinaigrette, a Lebanese Falafel with a Tomato & Feta Cheese Ragu, and a flavour packed Lime Chicken served with a Quinoa and Mango Salad (just to name a few). But, the complete Showman restaurant menu will be an immersion into world cuisine that merges some of Showman’s classic recipes, with a wide array of original dishes that seamlessly weave comfort food with world-class restaurant calibur ingredients and techniques.
The full experience will be available to try in early May, but check out the Showman eBistro pages for opening details and more Mukbang episodes.
